Meet the Directors
John Hall, Founder/Owner
John’s loves camps and the outdoors, was an Eagle Scout, and traveled with Up with People before starting Camp Horizons in 1983. John lives at Camp Horizons year round and has one son.
Tim Lane, Director
Tim has worked for Up with People, for nearly 25 years, serving in various management capacities. Tim has a passion for making a difference in young people’s lives, helping them to grow in confidence and realize that the best way to make a difference in your own life, is to make a difference in someone else’s life. During the school year he lives in Colorado with his wife, and enjoys time with his children and grandchildren.
Martin Brennan, Cast Manager
Martin brings a love of teaching, the performing arts, and the outdoors to his position as Cast Manager of Camp Up with People. As a young man his participation in both Semester at Sea and Up with People influenced him greatly and birthed a deep curiosity about the world. Martin served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Honduras, and has worked with numerous corporations and organizations in the areas of diversity and leadership.
